Newcastle: Loungers is expanding in the North East with a new bar and restaurant. They’re known for their cozy, family-friendly cafe bars.

The company started in 2002 and has grown quickly. They opened their first venue in the region, Martino Lounge, in Morpeth in August 2023. Since then, they’ve added more locations in Cramlington and Hexham.

Last year, they opened Durano Lounge in Tynemouth, creating over 30 jobs. This venue is in a former museum that had been closed since 2012.

Now, Loungers is looking at Gosforth. They’ve applied for a license to operate from a former Co-op store on the High Street. They plan to serve from 10am to midnight.

Loungers offers a diverse menu for all ages, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also provide activities for families, like games and coloring supplies.

Loungers has not yet commented on the new location.
