Bamburgh: A new café just opened in this lovely village. It’s part of the Bamburgh Walled Garden project. This spot was once a derelict site, but now it’s transformed.

Bamburgh is a favorite for holidaymakers. It’s been named the best seaside destination for four years! Plus, its beach was just voted the best winter walk in the UK.

The café is built where old glasshouses used to be. It’s cozy and welcoming, perfect for a coffee or snack. The garden will be open all year, which is great news for everyone.

The project created 45 jobs, including roles in hospitality and retail. There’s even a caretaker and a gardener. How cool is that?

Phase two will bring even more features, like a sensory garden and a playground. They’ll announce the opening date soon, so stay tuned!

Anne Rowley, the general manager, is thrilled. She said the café brings a comfy vibe to the village. Everyone is welcome, and they’re proud to open today.

Francis Watson-Armstrong, the estate owner, wants the garden to be accessible for all. He planted an oak sapling to celebrate the garden’s completion.

Over 30 native trees and hundreds of plants were added to the site. It’s a beautiful space for everyone to enjoy.
