Cork: One of the favorite pubs in town is closing. But it’s just for a bit. Tom Barry’s on Barrack Street will shut down for some essential work.

They’ll be closed from January 20 to January 30. So, no worries! The pub is known for its great pizza and cozy vibe. It’s a local gem with a big beer garden.

The team shared the news on social media. They thanked everyone for their understanding and can’t wait to welcome everyone back. Tom Barry’s has been around since the 1960s.

Tom took over in the 1980s, and even though he passed away in 2015, his name still shines above the door. Aideen, his partner, has kept the spirit alive for ten years.

She’s made it a lively spot with open-mic nights and trad music. It’s a place that has seen many changes on Barrack Street.

Sadly, some places have closed, like BarBella and Pigalle. But Tom Barry’s is here to stay. It’ll be back in action by February, so mark your calendars!
