Jack Anderton has visited many places, from Madeira to Ukraine. He judges pubs based on atmosphere, price, and hospitality. Two pubs in County Kerry caught his eye.
Dick Mack’s in Dingle ranked 17th. Jack calls it a classic pub with great decor and fun singalongs. It’s a must-visit for anyone in the area.
Tig Bhric, also in Dingle, came in at 28th. Jack describes it as a cozy family-run pub with standout beers. It’s a true gem on the Dingle Peninsula.
After exploring Kerry, Jack is excited to visit Cork next. He enjoyed his time in Dingle and Killarney, noting the unique nightlife in these towns.
Jack shared that he has 20 venues in Cork on his list. He plans to take his time and really enjoy each place he visits.
He’s eager to check out local favorites like Sin è and Callanan’s, while also searching for hidden gems that offer an authentic experience.
While in Dingle, Jack also stopped by Foxy John’s. He noted the lively atmosphere and friendly locals, making it a true local experience.
Two Dublin pubs, John Kavanagh’s The Gravediggers and Grogans, also made the list, ranking 14th. Jack started his European Bar Guide site in 2017 to highlight the best venues.
