North Tyneside: A tragic accident has taken the life of Paul Charlton, a beloved 62-year-old. He was known as a “gentle giant” and will be deeply missed.

The crash happened on Saturday, January 11, around 11:25 AM. Police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Norham Road North. A grey Peugeot 407 collided with a white Honda Civic.

Emergency services arrived, but sadly, Paul was pronounced dead at the scene. His family is receiving support from specially trained officers during this difficult time.

Paul’s family shared their love for him, saying he brought joy and laughter to their lives. They expressed gratitude for the well wishes and support from the community and police.

Northumbria Police are investigating the crash. The driver of the Honda is cooperating with the investigation. Sergeant Alex Partington extended condolences to Paul’s family and urged anyone with information to come forward.
