Newcastle: Shayne Ward is in town for the Strictly Come Dancing tour. He’s feeling the love from the fans. It’s been nearly 20 years since he won The X Factor. Remember that? He was just 21 and took the crown, beating Andy Abraham.

Shayne’s debut single, That’s My Goal, shot to number one. He even made waves with his first album and second single, No Promises. After his music career, he joined Coronation Street. His exit from the show was emotional, with his character Aidan O’Connor facing a tragic end.

These days, Shayne stars in Good Ship Murder on Channel 5. Last year, he joined the latest series of Strictly. He was a favorite at first, but things didn’t go as planned. He and his partner Nancy Xu found themselves in the bottom two a few times.

Fans were upset when they got eliminated, especially since many thought they should have stayed over other contestants. Now, Shayne is back for the Strictly live tour. After stops in Birmingham and Sheffield, it’s Newcastle’s turn.

On Wednesday morning, Shayne shared his excitement on Instagram. He filmed himself walking across the Swing Bridge, with the Hilton hotel in view. He said, “I love the crowds here, always have.” He even invited fans to say hi if they saw him around.

The tour kicks off at the Utilita Arena on Wednesday night, with more shows on Thursday. It’s going to be a fun time!
