A three-vehicle collision on the A189 near Cramlington Wednesday morning resulted in one person being hospitalized. Emergency services responded swiftly.
The crash happened on the A189 a little after 8:15 Wednesday morning. They took the injured person to Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital.
Police and ambulance crews went to the scene. The ambulance service released a statement saying they got a call about the accident at 8:30 on the A189, toward Blyth. They sent one ambulance and helped one person.
The police also made a statement. They learned about the crash at 8:15 Wednesday. It happened on the A189 Spine Road southbound, near the Three Horse Shoes roundabout.
Emergency workers showed up quickly to help. The southbound lane closed for a bit, and people were told to find other routes.
The road is now open again after being closed for about ninety minutes. Traffic is flowing normally now, and things are back to normal.
