Blyth: A burst water main has caused quite a mess. The A192 is closed in both directions. Northumbrian Water is on it, but it’s a hassle for drivers.

The flooding was reported just before 1 PM. Northumbria Police quickly closed the road. They’re advising everyone to find another route. The flooding happened near the Keel Row pub, between Blyth and Seaton Delaval.

Good news, though! The water supply isn’t affected. Northumbrian Water is working hard to fix the issue. They’re trying to get everything sorted as soon as they can.

A spokesperson mentioned they’re on-site dealing with the burst. They’re isolating the problem and making repairs. The A192 will stay closed until it’s safe to reopen.

Police are also on the scene, warning drivers to steer clear of the area. They confirmed the road is closed between the B1326 and A1061. So, if you’re out and about, take a different route.

Stay safe and keep an eye on updates. It’s a bit of a mess, but they’re on it!
