Pine in Northumberland has gained recognition as one of the UK’s top restaurants, thanks to a visit from actress Jodie Comer and rave reviews.
Pine is one of only three restaurants from the North East to be recognized. Located at Vallum Farm in East Wallhouses, it’s run by chef Cal Byerley and his wife Siân. They’ve been getting a lot of attention lately.
Pine was also named one of the best in Europe last year. Plus, their head sommelier, Vanessa Stoltz, ranked 45th in the UK Top 100 Sommeliers guide. That’s impressive!
Jodie Comer, known for her roles in Killing Eve and Help, dined at Pine while filming 28 Years Later. She was spotted in Rothbury, and her visit quickly went viral on social media.
Now, Pine is on the list of the best UK restaurants by SquareMeal. They’re in great company with Hjem, Solstice, and Rebel. The review praised Pine for its attention to detail and relaxed atmosphere. Sounds like a must-visit!
