Thomas Vosper, the expert, is on a mission to visit every pub in the UK. He made The Centurion his first stop after arriving in Newcastle. As soon as he walked in, he was amazed by the ceiling.
He posted a video on his Instagram, saying it was the most impressive pub he’d ever entered, especially one in a train station. He also shared some history about the place, mentioning it used to have prison cells in the 1960s.
Thomas couldn’t stop praising the ceiling, saying it took his breath away. The pub is Grade 1 listed, which means it’s been beautifully restored. His post got a lot of love from locals, with many agreeing it’s their favorite pub.
