Newcastle: The well-loved bar Hoochie Coochie has closed its doors for good. But don’t worry, it’s been replaced by Pilgrim, and it looks amazing!

For over a decade, Hoochie Coochie was the go-to spot. People loved dancing there and catching big names like Chaka Khan and Gregory Porter. It was always buzzing with great DJs and local talent.

Now, Pilgrim is stepping up to the plate. The new owners want to keep the good vibes while bringing in even more music legends. They’re also focusing on Newcastle’s rich cultural scene.

The bar’s interior is stunning, thanks to artist Pete Manning, also known as Prefab 77. His eye-catching murals are everywhere, from the entrance to the restrooms.

One cool feature is the ‘Sanctuary.’ It’s a private area next to the bar, perfect for VIPs or private parties. Celebrities like Chris and Rosie Ramsey have already celebrated there!

Pilgrim officially launched recently and is gearing up for a busy spring. They’re planning some fantastic acts and are involved with the upcoming MOBO Awards.
