Gerry Hutch was recently seen enjoying a night out with motorcycle friends in Cork, despite his past troubles and ongoing investigations
At 61, Hutch is still making the most of his freedom. He’s been traveling around Ireland, even after not winning a seat in the Dail last November.
Despite the risks, he’s not hiding anymore. Reports say he knows there are still threats to his life, especially from Kinahan-affiliated hitmen.
Seeing him smile and enjoy a night out is a big change from his years of hiding from danger. He used to be on the run from the Kinahan cartel, who wanted him dead.
Even though he missed out on the election, Hutch seems to be staying put in Ireland. Meanwhile, Spanish authorities are still looking into him for alleged money laundering in Lanzarote.
He was released on €100,000 bail last November. He got his passport back after promising he’d return to Ireland for the election.
Hutch maintains he’s innocent of all charges. In April 2024, he was found not guilty of the gangland murder of David Byrne at Dublin’s Regency Hotel.
