Hey, guess what? Students from Heworth Grange School got selected. They will participate in a MOBO Awards event in Newcastle! The MOBO Awards honor Black music and culture. This event takes place before the awards show. It’s happening on Tuesday, February 18.

Glow Newcastle asked them to create a music video. This organization grew from a cultural education group. Students also will make a documentary. It will show the video’s creation process. Glow worked with Northern Roots and Tyneside Cinema.

The school chose eleven Year 10 students. These kids are in dance and film studies classes. Right now, they are rehearsing and filming. They are making a dance music video. They also learned to create phone documentaries.

The dance video will premiere soon. You can watch it on Saturday, February 15. The show starts at 5 p.m. It will be at the Tyneside Cinema. The school is very proud of this opportunity.

The headteacher said it’s great news for the school. He thinks it showcases the students’ skills. They will show talent in performing arts. Also, they will feature their skill in digital technology.

The MOBO Awards are at the Utilita Arena. They happen on Tuesday, February 18. Indiyah Polack and Eddie Kadi will host. Krept & Konan, Spice, and Bashy will perform. They will be there to celebrate music.
