Newcastle: A football fan is in trouble after a wild night at St James’ Park. Kurt Simmons, 26, was arrested during a match against Aston Villa on Boxing Day.

He was drunk and acting aggressively, which didn’t sit well with the stewards. Initially, he was arguing with his girlfriend before turning his anger on the staff.

Things escalated quickly, and he ended up being abusive towards the stewards. Now, he’s facing a football banning order after admitting to being drunk at a sports venue.

In court, the prosecutor shared that Simmons was seen staggering and arguing before he got aggressive. He’s been served with a banning order, but he plans to contest it.

Simmons, who has no prior convictions, claimed he was just trying to stay with his girlfriend. He said he didn’t get a warning before being arrested.

The judge fined him £200 and added some costs. He pointed out that such behavior causes issues at sports events and in the community.

Simmons will be back in court on April 30 to fight the banning order that the police are pushing for. It looks like he’s got some serious consequences ahead.
