Someone abandoned a dog in County Durham. The dog had tape around its mouth. A person found the dog on Sunday, February 2, near Grant’s Gym in St Helen Auckland. They tied the dog to a wall on Maude Terrace. The tape stopped him from barking or making sounds.

The finder took him to a vet who called the RSPCA, worried about the dog’s health. He is a friendly dog now safe with the dog warden, who will find him a new home later.

He is about one year old and has bright blue eyes. His coat is white, tan, and brown. He had no microchip or collar, and the RSPCA wants people to call if they know him.

Krissy Raine is looking into the case. She thinks someone taped his mouth shut, stopping him from barking and getting help. The tape hurt his mouth, making it sore outside and inside.

He got treatment, and they thank everyone who helped him. He is a friendly young dog who was once part of a family. It is sad when animals feel scared and alone.

The RSPCA wants tips about the dog or event. Call 0300 123 8018 and mention 01441323. The charity helps people who struggle to care for pets and has a special help center for living costs.
