County Durham: Firefighters had an interesting call recently. A woman thought she saw a snake in her bathroom. It was early on a Wednesday morning when the call came in.
The County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service responded quickly. They arrived at the home to check things out. The woman was understandably scared and needed help.
When the firefighters got there, they discovered something surprising. The “snake” was actually a plaited lock of hair from the woman’s daughter. It was a false alarm!
The Station Manager reassured the woman and gave her some water to calm her down. Even though it was a mix-up, the firefighters were glad to help.
This incident shows how important it is to call for help when you’re unsure. The fire service is always ready to assist, even with animal rescue situations.
