Horden: An international drug dealer lived a lavish life, according to police. Syed Hassan, 31, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for drug supply charges.
Durham Constabulary reported that Hassan used an encrypted phone to connect with criminal associates. He was involved in supplying cocaine and cannabis across the UK and beyond.
Hassan was first arrested in 2020 for suspected drug-driving. Detectives then uncovered his extensive drug activities, including moving Class A and Class B drugs.
He enjoyed luxury cars, designer clothes, and traveled to places like Malaga, Amsterdam, Pakistan, and Dubai. His lifestyle was described as lavish by the police.
Hassan appeared at Durham Crown Court for sentencing. He received 15 years in prison and a Serious Crime Prevention Order for five years. A proceeds of crime hearing is set for February.
