A County Durham businessman tragically fell to his death in Doha while police attempted to arrest him, an inquest has revealed.
Doha: A County Durham property developer, Mark Anthony Murphy, died after a tragic fall. This happened when police came to arrest him in his apartment.
Mark was just 36 years old. He had been involved in several businesses in Qatar, including Qatar World Cup Rentals Ltd. and UK Property in Qatar.
During the inquest, it was revealed that he fell seven floors from an open window. The Senior Coroner, Andrew Hetherington, noted that the exact circumstances of the fall remain unclear.
Efforts to get a response from the Qatari police were unsuccessful. The coroner mentioned that they hadn’t replied to any inquiries made.
