A Cork couple renovated an old post office and transformed it into a dream home. It will be featured on RTE’s “The Great House Revival.”

Timmie O’Brien and Siobhan, along with their two sons, star in the episode. They transformed a West Cork post office and now proudly call it their ‘forever home.’

Timmie and Siobhan bought the Butlerstown property for €195,000. Their aim was to revive the old community hub.

They worked on the project for years. However, the renovation stalled after a while, and they ran out of energy to keep going.

The TV show crew provided much-needed assistance because the renovation felt overwhelming. The house, shop, and associated costs seemed too much.

Architect Hugh Wallace offered guidance. With a budget of €180,000, Siobhan and Timmie found new drive. They ultimately made their dream a reality.

Other Cork properties will also be featured on the show. One episode showcases an artist transforming a townhouse into a home and studio, while another features a country house becoming a family home.

The show returns to RTE One and RTE Player. Be sure to watch “The Great House Revival” on Sundays, starting February 9 at 9:30 pm.
