Mark Frizzell violated a restraining order by visiting his parents home in Fenham while they were on holiday, captured on their Ring doorbell.
His parents were on holiday and saw him on their Ring doorbell from Spain. The court learned about this incident. He walked in their garden for three hours, then left, alerting the police.
Frizzell lives on Northumberland Terrace, in Byker. He pleaded guilty to breaking the order and the court fined him £120. He must also pay £85 costs and a £48 surcharge.
Glenda Beck prosecuted the case and told the court the order barred Frizzell from his parent’s home. The order began in November 2023. She said the parents saw him on March 5, finding that he came and went for about three hours.
The court heard Frizzell has 54 offences and deals with mental health issues, like schizophrenia. Michael Gibson defended Frizzell, stating he did not know about the holiday. He was having mental health trouble and someone reported him to the police because his behavior seemed strange.
