Bowburn: Two kids, Tyler and Amber, are real-life heroes. Tyler, just eight, called 999 when his dad, Jamie, collapsed at home. He stayed calm and helped his little sister, Amber, who’s only four.

They answered the operator’s questions, which got help on the way fast. When the ambulance arrived, Jamie was unconscious and struggling to breathe. Thanks to Tyler’s quick thinking, he got the help he needed.

Recently, the North East Ambulance Service honored Tyler and Amber with bravery awards at their home. Paramedic Annie O’Sullivan praised Tyler for his maturity. She said it was impressive how he recognized his dad needed help.

Tyler’s mom, Samantha, shared how proud they all are. She mentioned that Tyler has Global Developmental Delay, which makes his actions even more remarkable. He might not fully grasp the situation, but he knows it was important.

Last month, Tyler got a special treat from the police, which he loves. He had a VIP experience, complete with a ride in a police car and gifts from Tesco. It’s clear this family has a lot to celebrate, and they’re all so proud of Tyler’s bravery.
