Dublin: A recent study has shown which home devices are the biggest energy hogs. It turns out, some gadgets really rack up your electricity bill.

With rising costs, everyone’s looking to save a few bucks. This study from Energia highlights the worst offenders when it comes to power consumption.

Most folks know that tumble dryers and kettles can be pricey. But there are sneaky appliances that quietly drain your wallet without you noticing.

The study lists the twelve worst devices, ranked from least to most expensive. For example, an induction cooker costs about €0.63 per hour to run.

Microwaves and toasters aren’t far behind, costing €0.65 and €0.68 per hour, respectively. Even your hair dryer can hit €0.74 per hour!

Interestingly, air fryers are among the cheaper options, costing just €0.56 for an hour of use. And the most surprising? A 42-inch LCD TV only costs 4 cents per hour!

If you’re feeling overwhelmed by your bill, there’s some good news. The final electricity credit of €125 is being paid out until February 2025.
